Let your voice be heard! Highway districts are encouraged to elect one representative to attend the IAHD Capitol for a Day program from February 11th - 13th. The program will teach and educate attendees about the legislative process and transportation legislation. Additionally, attendees will discuss the particular issues with the three state legislators representing their highway district in prearranged meetings. Furthermore, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of Idaho's legislative process by watching a transportation committee hearing.
There are no registration fees associated with the program. Individual highway districts are responsible for all expenses incurred traveling to and from Boise. The IAHD will host a welcoming dinner reception Monday evening, lunch on Tuesday, and a legislative dinner reception on Tuesday. The Holiday Inn Express will have a continental breakfast available for attendees on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
