GRS-IBS Bridge Construction Webinar
Aug 20 @ 9:00 am – 11:30 am
This course will be offered virtually using Zoom.

Description:
GRS-IBS is an innovation to help reduce bridge construction time and cost. GRS-IBS projects can be built in weeks instead of months, due to the ease of construction and the use of readily available materials and equipment. Reduced construction schedule translates into less exposure around work zones improving safety. Idaho has adopted GRS-IBS as a focus for the state.

Learn more about GRS-IBS Bridge construction during this 2.5-hour webinar hosted by LHTAC and HMH Engineering. Webinar will include pictures and video from the recent construction of Ruby Creek Bridge #3 in Boundary County, Idaho.

Draft Agenda:

  • Introduction
  • Local Idaho Bridge Needs
  • GRS-IBS Overview
  • Planning and Design
  • Construction
  • Example GRS-IBS

Target Audience: The focus audience for this workshop is Local Highway Jurisdiction roadway supervisors, foreman and employees.

This class can be applied as a 1/2 elective credit to the Road Scholar/Road Master Program.

Recording: This LHTAC T2 Center training will be recorded and a link we be sent out those in attendance. If the recording is successful we will plan to also post it on our YouTube Channel.
